TechFest 2019

What is TechFest?

WIRED Monash is happy to introduce a collection of events at Monash University Clayton campus that will be running from 6th May to 11th May, 2019. This is a new initiative with a whole week of Tech focussed activities. We are calling it the “Tech Fest 2019”!

Types of Events

This week long series of events have been planned for our Industry partners. Some of the activities to look forward to with the TechFest for your company include:

  • Topic Focussed Workshops and Tech Talks (Git, Intro to React Js, CI-CD pipelines, Kubernetes, etc. etc...)
  • Panel/Debate between Industry Partners (for example, emerging technologies, current security issues, etc...)
  • Focussed Tech Demos (for example, companies bringing VR, machine learning demo, robot demo, etc...)
  • Conducting Practice Interviews / Employability Reviews
  • And so much more! We welcome you to bring new ideas for the TechFest as well.

WIRED invites you to take part in our inaugural TechFest and we would greatly appreciate your support. To register for this event, please express your interest by the deadline 14th April, 2019.

Expressions of Interest are now closed, if you are still interested please email

Participation in the event will come at a cost of $100, which will contribute towards the catering during the massive festival. The cost only applies to partners who are not WIRED sponsors already. There's a lot more also planned that you can engage and witness.

TechFest is also garnering a lot of student attention due to other events like ‘lecturers debate’ and ‘basketball shootout between students and lecturers’. It is the first time this has ever been organised, and we're looking forward to starting it on a high note.

PLEASE NOTE: Submitting the expression of interest form does not confirm an event, confirmation will be sent via email. Due to limited space availability, we are bound to give primary preferences to our Industry sponsors, and event registration will be on first come first serve basis.
